Biography
John Schroeder is a full-time business analyst and part-time poker addict who has spent the last eight years as a consultant and business development professional for Advanced Strategies, Inc. His specialty is helping Fortune 500 companies and large government organizations have the courage to transform their culture, processes, and IT systems to improve performance and make their world a better place to work.
An energetic and emotional speaker, John's speeches and seminars help today's professionals cut through the complexity and to refocus on the fundamentals required for success. His new book Beating the Odds combines tried and true leadership strategies with a poker story that entertains as it enlightens.
John is the founder of Beating the Odds, LLC, where he serves as President and Chief Odds Maker. Prior to Beating the Odds and Advanced Strategies he cut his teeth during the internet boom at Intel Corporation and AMD, where he developed the "three ways to win" marketing strategy.
John has a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering and a Masters of Science in Management from Georgia Tech. He is a member of, and frequent sparring partner to, the Project Management Institute.
When not writing, speaking, consulting, or playing poker, John can be found either at the volleyball courts or spending time with his wife and two daughters either in Atlanta, or preferably, at the beach.
